Ahlfors dissertation was supervised by Ernst Lindelöf (see further below) and...

Rolf Herman Nevanlinna (1895-1980), Dissertation: Über beschränkte Funktionen die in gegebenen Punkten vorgeschriebene Werte annehmen (1919), Ph.D., University of Helsinki  (Helsingin Yliopisto),

Mittag-Leffler's post-doctoral advisor was Weierstrass.  His dissertation was supervised by....

    Dillner's dissertation was supervised by...

Carl (Karl) Johan Malmsten (1814-1886), Dissertation: Principia motuum analytice exposita. (1838-1839)  Filosofie Magister 1839, University of Uppsala, Sweden.  The dissertation appears to be indexed in worldcat with committee and/or publisher names - note the "praeside Jöns Svanberg" indicating that Svanberg presided over the dissertation defense.  As further evidence, the first author listed in the link above (Sundberg) appears to have defended his dissertation in 1790 on "…the moral right order of things…", so he was likely simply a member of Malmsten's committee.

    Malmsten's dissertation was supervised by...

Jöns Svanberg (1771-1851), Dissertation: Enodatio enumerationis linearum tertii ordinis Newtonianæ (1794) Filosofie Magister, University of Uppsala, Sweden. The dissertation cover page is here

    Svanberg's dissertation was supervised by...

Fredrik (Fredric, Fredericus) Mallet (1728-1797), Dissertation: Dissertatio gradualis de Mercurii theoria (1752). Filosofie Magister, University of Uppsala, Sweden.  Two other early works are with Nicolaus Apelberg and Mårtin Strömer.

    Mallet's dissertation was supervised by....

Mårtin (Martino, Martinus) Strömer (1707-1770), Dissertation: Specimen historiæ literariæ de arte conjectandi (1731)Filosofie Magister, University of Uppsala, Sweden.  The dissertation cover page is here.  An e-doc of the dissertation is here.

    Strömer's dissertation was supervised by...

Samuel (Samuelis) Klingenstierna (1698-1765); no known dissertation or degree, Professor of Geometry, University of Uppsala, Sweden. Notice on the cover page of Strömer's dissertation, "Most honorable of men" (latin Nobilissimi atque Celeberrimi VIRI) appears to be Klingenstierna honorific rather than "Mag." as used for Fredrik Mallet on Svanberg's dissertation cover page.  Books written by Klingenstierna and dissertations he supervised can be found by checking worldcat and (oddly enough) amazon.com.uk.

Klingenstierna was inspired into mathematics by Per Elvus, and later studied under Christian Wolfe
