Biography
Dr. Lu is now a research associate in the Civil and Environmental department of University of Texas at Austin after two years’ postdoc experience. She completed her PhD study in Chemical Engineering at Louisiana State University in 2003. Before that, she got a master degree of chemical engineering at Tianjin University of China in 1995. Dr. Lu won two dissertation awards from Louisiana state university, College of Engineering Exemplary Dissertation Award and Charles E. Coats Outstanding Dissertation Award.
Her research interests are but
not limited to fate and transport of contaminants in the
environment, assessment and remediation of contaminated
sediments, environmental chemistry and toxicology, and
environmental statistics. She is the author of more than 10
peer- reviewed journal papers and conference proceedings.
Dr. Lu is also active in national and international meetings
such as AIChE and Setac.
