Biography

I received my bachelor’s degree with honors in Environmental Engineering in 1997 and my master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Tongji University in 1999. Upon the completion, I went to the University of Missouri-Rolla and stayed there until I obtained my Ph.D. in Civil Engineering in 2004.

Research

My research interest is in the environmental treatment and remediation. I have worked on plant-based remediation technologies since 2000. While with the Reible group, Sam helped to develop alternative treatment technologies such as active capping technology to treat contaminated sediments.
