Biography

Originally from El Paso, Texas, (where the sun shines over 320 days a year), Gabe grew up within a stones through of the U.S./Mexican border and the Mighty Rio Grande. He is a proud alum of Ysleta High School and the University of Texas at El Paso (affectionately known to many as UTEP) where he was active in the school’s chapters of Chi Epsilon, Tau Beta Pi, and the National Society of Black Engineers. He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from UTEP in 2007, and upon doing so, left the Sun City to pursue a M.S. Degree in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering (EWRE) from the University of Texas at Austin. In Austin, Gabe likes to contribute academically, athletically, and socially to EWRE any chances he gets, and aspires to one day become an outdoorsman.
