1.  The attached Excel file Buffalo.xls (also Buffalo.csv in comma separated text form) contains the precipitation and discharge data for Buffalo Bayou in Houston for a severe storm which occured there in October 1994.  I would like you to make a study of the rainfall-runoff relationships for this storm.  In particular, I would like you to do the following:

• Convert the discharge data to units of mm over the drainage area
• Draw a graph of the precipitation and runoff data using hourly time intervals
• Calculate and plot the hourly change in storage of water on the basin and the cumulative amount of water stored on the basin
• Determine the percentage of the rainfall that became runoff
• Determine the average time lag (hours) between the rainfall distribution and the runoff distribution
