Welcome to my home page here at the University of Texas!! I graduated with my Master of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering in December 1998. My research was on regional flood frequency in the Upper Midwest, exploring the linkages between flood frequency analysis and geographic information systems(GIS). I am excited by the application of my experience in GIS and hope to continue to use it as I continue my army career. I am working in the Corps of Engineers St. Louis office.
Undergraduate: After graduating from Carlisle High School in Carlisle, PA, I went on to West Point for a four year experience in how to become a soldier. I graduated with Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy in 1990 and went off to earn my free education.
Job Experience: I was stationed
in Germany for three years with the 54th Engineer Battalion (Combat)(Mechanized).
My first experience on the job was a little detour to Desert Storm for
a couple months. Upon return from the desert, I lived in Wildflecken (which
is on the old border between East and West Germany) and trained with the
11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. Blackhorse!!
I was then stationed at Fort Bragg,North Carolina with the 30th Engineer
Battalion. While
at Fort Bragg, I was in charge of a topographic engineer company assisting
in the development of GIS and imagery related products as well as managing
hard-copy map production and survey assets.
Luckily for me, the army choise me to continue my free education and I was selected to get a graduate degree at army expense. I received a degree in Environmental Engineering here at UT and upon graduation will be assigned to the US Army Corps of Engineers' St. Louis District.
