Zornberg and Co-Authors Receive Best Paper Award

A paper co-authored by geotech professor Dr. Jorge Zornberg, Dr. A. Malek Bouazza, and former doctoral student Dr. John McCartney was voted as the Best Paper in Geosynthetics International for 2010. The paper, "Geosynthetic capillary barriers: current state of knowledge" appeared in Geosynthetics International, Volume 17, Issue 5, pages 273-300.
Dr. Bouazza is a professor in Civil Engineering at Monash University, Australia.
Dr. McCartney received his PhD from UT Austin in 2007 under the supervision of Dr. Zornberg. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
