Anna Tachau, an undergraduate student in civil engineering, was selected as a winner of the 2010 Student Writing Competition by the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN). Her paper "A Comparison of US and Chinese Incentives in Winning Oil Contracts in African Countries", was one of two winners of the competition, which is open to all full time seniors and graduate students at accredited universities. Her paper will be published in AIPN's quarterly newsletter the Advisor.
As a recipient of the award, Anna received an all-expenses paid invitation to attend the AIPN International Conference in Doha, Qatar, at the end of September 2010. She also will receive one year, complimentary AIPN student membership for 2011.
