Transportation Student Receives AAPT Scholarship

Transportation doctoral student, Arash Motamed, was recently named one of two winners of a 2011 AAPT Scholarship awarded by the Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists. He is the first CAEE student to receive the scholarship since 1997.

The AAPT scholarship is funded by the Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists with the purpose of increasing the number of scientists and engineers available for careers in the general area of asphalt cement or asphalt concrete technology. This international scholarship is based on an individual's performance and contributions in the field of asphalt technology.

In addition to a monetary award, Arash received complimentary membership to AAPT for 2011. He is supervised by Dr. Amit Bhasin.
