Maidment Named Distinguished Alumnus

The Civil and Environmental Engineering Alumni Association at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign has announced David R. Maidment, Professor in environmental and water resources engineering, as a 2011 Distinguished Alumnus. Maidment was recognized "for significant and lasting impact on teaching, research and practice in the fields of hydrology and water resource engineering, including the pioneering of geographic information systems applications in hydrology and technologies that have been adopted by national and international institutions."
Maidment was recognized at the CEE at Illinois Alumni Dinner on February 9, 2011.
