Maidment Receives 2011 Ven Te Chow Award

David R. Maidment, Professor in environmental and water resources engineering, received the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 2011 Ven Te Chow Award in recognition of his "contributions in water resources engineering, hydrology and hydraulic engineering, outstanding service to the professional application of GIS in surface water and groundwater hydrology, authoring book and research papers in water resources engineering, and mentoring of young engineers."

Established in 1995, the Ven Te Chow Award recognizes individuals whose lifetime achievements in the field of hydrologic engineering have been distinguished by exceptional achievement and significant contributions in research, education or practice.

The award presentation will be at the Environmental and Water Resources Institute (EWRI) annual specialty conference to be held in Palm Springs, California in May, 2011.
