EWRE Graduate Student Receives AWWA Scholarship

Qiao Huan (Amy) Gao, an MS student in the Environmental and Water Resources Engineering (EWRE) graduate program, was recently awarded the 2010 Holly A. Cornell Scholarship by the American Water Works Association (AWWA). 

The annual scholarship was created by CH2MHill, Inc to honor Holly A. Cornell, co-founder of CH2MHill, and to encourage outstanding female and/or minority students in the field of water supply and treatment. Recipients are selected on the basis of their academic record, and potential to provide leadership in the field of water supply and treatment.

Amy will be publicly recognized at the Annual Conference of the AWWA in June 2010. She is supervised by Dr. Mary Jo Kirisits.
