Recent Graduate Student Receives Honorable Mention for Dissertation

Nazneen Ferdous

Nazneen Ferdous, a former transportation engineering student supervised by Dr. Chandra Bhat, received an Honorable Mention in the international 2011 Eric Pas Dissertation Prize for one of the top two dissertations in the travel behavior field. The award was presented at the 13th International Conference on Travel Behaviour Research, Toronto, Canada, July 2012. Her dissertation is entitled "A New Estimation Approach for Modeling Activity-Travel Behavior: Applications of the Composite Marginal Likelihood Approach in Modeling Multidimensional Choices."

Nazneen received her doctorate in August 2011, and is currently employed by Resource Systems Group, Inc. in White River Junction, Vermont.
