Richard L. Corsi, Professor in environmental and water resources engineering, was named "Professor of the Month" for November 2009 by the UT Austin Faculty Affairs Committee of the Senate of College Councils and the Student Engineering Council.
Each month, the Faculty Affairs Committee accepts nominations from three college councils for Professor of the Month. The award is intended to recognize professors on campus for their dedication to students and passion for teaching. Corsi was cited as not only an exemplary professor in the classroom, but also a true mentor and friend outside class.
The award will be presented at the Senate General Assembly meeting on November 19.
