Professor John Tassoulas accepts a departmental faculty award at the CAEE Spring 2008 Banquet. Our faculty members have a wide variety of expertise that they share in the classroom and research labs, preparing students to solve problems with the technical knowledge they bring to their careers.
The CAEE department’s outstanding faculty are involved in both teaching and research, and they are recognized nationally and internationally as leaders in their individual fields. More than 60 individual faculty, adjuncts, lecturers, and assistant instructors make up the teaching staff of the department. Sixteen faculty are members of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE), eight of whom are actively teaching. The NAE was established in 1964, and election to membership is the engineering profession’s highest distinction.
