Interests
Dr. Kinnas' expertise is in the area of computational hydrodynamics with applications on the design of ocean vehicles and off-shore structures. In particular, his research has been focused on the prediction of unsteady sheet and tip vortex cavitation, design of high-speed propulsors and tidal turbines, free-surface entry, inflow/propulsor interaction, separated flows, and wave/floating body interaction. Dr. Kinnas is the associate director at UT for the Offshore Technology Research Center (OTRC), a member of the editorial committee of the Journal of Ship Research, and a
Member of the editorial board of the Journal of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering. For additional information, see Dr. Kinnas' home page
