Dr. Jiukun Dai works with CII as a research engineer of the Benchmarking program. During the Spring 2008 semester, Dr. Dai has been teaching CE 323K, Project Management and Economics, as a Lecturer in the department’s Construction Engineering and Project Management (CEPM) program. Prior to joining CII, he worked with Willbros USA, where he worked as a cost and scheduling specialist. He earned his Doctorate in Construction Engineering and Management at the University of Kentucky in 2006 and his dissertation studied how to improve construction productivity by engaging craft workers. He also worked as project management consultant with PAC Group in Shanghai, China, where he participated in building and launching several automotive manufacturing plants. His research interests include: • Benchmarking • Construction Productivity • Construction Workforce Issues and Strategies • Life Cycle Cost • Project Controls • Application of Information Technology in Construction
